Darkness can comfort because it hides. So we stay. Shame cloaks us in striving and we run, sometimes wearing busyness as a cover as if a full calendar could fill an empty soul, as if our worth lay at the mercy of people. And all the while the Bondage Breaker knocks on our door, stands at our cave, cries out by our tomb "Wake up!"
We wander in weariness wondering why and the truth is this: We will never leave Egypt while we still worship the shackles on our feet.

When I say yes to fear I am telling fear it is my god.
When I bow to lies I revere what is trying to steal my life.
"Can two walk together except they be agreed?" (Amos 3:3)
