Suffering

Seeking souls often ask, how can you believe in a good God who allows evil, who allows humanity to endure pain? The only reason I can offer is this.

When the world fell God’s heart broke. And He’s still aching now. When He walked the world He experienced the worst it could bring. He knows even the horror of feeling forsaken by Himself. He is constantly grieving for we are constantly sinning. Your most secret tears have never been cried alone. God has permitted earth’s evil to endure for a time, yes. But this cannot be overlooked: That evil empowers a suffering He feels more than we do.

That is why I have to trust Him with what only He knows.
